I’m a little late to the ballgame here but I still wanted to document our Halloween 2019 shenanigans. It was such a fun year with the boys dressing up; Bear loves costumes and for weeks, requested he be Mario and Boone be Luigi. We decided to do this for our neighborhood “Trick or Treat Trails” the Saturday before Halloween, and both boys had so much fun. Boone wasn’t really into his costume, but he wore it (including the hat!) and ran laps the whole time.
A couple days before Halloween, Bear decided to mix things up and picked out a new costume at Walmart: Slenderman. I had also forgotten that I’d bought Boone a baby shark costume at TJ Maxx weeks prior to any of this, so both boys switched direction for the big day and were very happy with their attire.
My lifeguard costume was a last minute addition; I ordered the shirt off Amazon 2 days before Halloween (Prime FTW always) and ran to Walmart day of for the whistle and visor. Bear was the only one who actually trick or treated, since Boone wasn’t interested in it this year. I’m sure next year he will be right in the middle of it!
Hope you all had a fun, safe Halloween! Can you believe the holiday season is already upon us?! We’ll be putting up the Christmas tree this weekend and I can’t wait! I know it’s early but the Christmas season is so short, I feel like if we wait until December to bust out all the decorations, it’s just not long enough to enjoy them. So we’re decking the halls in 2 days and Michael Buble is about to be in full force for the next 7 weeks. Have you started decorating yet or do you wait until after Thanksgiving?
