activities for kids at home

While we’re all spending our days at home right now, I figured it would be a good time to round up lots of activities for kids! Those of us with school-age kids are thrown into the world of home schooling, and it’s a bit overwhelming to say the least.
I don’t claim to be an expert, but I do have my teaching certification for EC-6th and my assistant (who helped make this collage!) is graduating this year with a degree in education, also for EC-6th. We did our best to come up with helpful tools to teach your kids, while still keeping things fun and interesting.

I also wanted to share some easy arts & crafts in case you’re needing some ideas.

A few more tools/FREE resources that we’ve used and love:
-Scholastic's free online cross-curricular tools with four separate learning activities each day
-Free 30 day trial at ABC mouse
-Virtual field trips to zoos/museums/landmarks to places like the San Diego Zoo or Yellowstone

I hope all of you mamas find this post helpful. We’re all in this together and remember, the most important thing right now is that our children feel safe and loved. We need to focus on creating a fun environment for them to learn, free of stress or distraction as much as possible. Turn off the news, play some silly music, and have fun!
