Happy Valentine's Day!!!!!!
The Day of Love is officially here and I'm sitting in our bedroom, cozied up on the bed, listening to the rain falling outside. I could take a serious nap right now if I didn't have a million and two things to do today. Bear is at MDO and he was so excited for his class Valentine's Party today! It was also pink/crazy sock day, and we went all out (I put a picture on my Insta Stories @brittfullwood). I've said this over and over again but it really is true- holidays are so much fun with little ones. I can't wait for Bear to come home so I can give him his V-Day gift from Zach and me! He's just getting a bag full of random little toys and chocolate, which happen to be his very favorite things.

(Several appointments, lunch with a friend, and picking up Bear later...and yes, he loved his gift!)
Aside from the cliche (yet always appreciated) boxed chocolates and red roses, Valentine's Day is a time to enjoy the ones we love. It's definitely a commercial holiday, as Zach loves to constantly remind me, but there's more to it than the commercialism and expensive Hallmark cards. No matter who you're celebrating the holiday with, or without, today is about appreciating those you love most. That also includes yourself! I picked myself up a hot pink mug at Home Goods today that says, "More Issues Than Vogue" because Lord knows that's true. I normally would never buy myself anything more than lunch on Valentine's Day, but I thought...why not? It wasn't like I was dropping thousands on a designer handbag; it was a $4 mug. But still...sometimes it's important to remind ourselves that self love and appreciation are just as important as the love we give others.

This afternoon as I was picking Bear up from school, I told him I loved him and he said, "I love you, too Mommy. Know why?"
"Why?", I asked.
"Because you love me with all your heart. And I love you with all my heart, too."

If anyone needs me the rest of the day, I'll just be here completely melted into a puddle of mush on the floor. Be still my Momma heart. And yes, I love that little boy will all of it.
Hope you have the most special Valentine's Day yet!
