Happy Monday, friends! A bit of an oxymoron, especially if you’re like me and spent 2 1/2 hours at the car repair shop this morning holding a baby on your lap the entire time. Can you tell it was a fun morning over here? All the coffee in the world could not help me survive the rest of this day…but I’m doing my best to chug it anyway. Complaining aside, it is a gorgeous day in Houston and I’m determined to make the most of it! Boone and I are headed to see our friend Shelbi shortly- it was her birthday Friday and some Chick Fil A is in order! Extra crispy fries and sweet tea, please.

If you read this blog very often then you know that I am always behind on posts, and this one is no different. I took these photos back in early October! Over 2 months late but I still wanted to share because stripes & leopard mixing is one of my favorite trends that I don’t think I’ll ever stop sporting. Are you on the bandwagon that leopard is considered a neutral, too? Because I keep hearing that and I’m here for it. I really think we need a leopard rug somewhere in our house but it will have to happen either in my closet or office because the boys are not about it like I am. Unless it has a Grinch on it, Bear isn’t a fan at the moment.

Which brings me to a post that will be coming later this week- the holiday party we had at our house on Friday night! It was a Polar Express party for the kids that live in our neighborhood, but they ended up not watching a single minute of the movie. Which I guess isn’t a bad thing, since they were having so much fun playing that they couldn’t be bothered to stop long enough to look at the TV. We drank yummy hot chocolate, wore our best festive jammies, and were all sad when it was time for everyone to go home. Even Boonester crawled around taking in all the madness and living his best meddling life. I’ll share more later this week including the crockpot hot chocolate recipe that’s our favorite!
Hope you had a great weekend, too!
