fredericksburg travel guide

Hi, friends! Last week I had the honor of spending time in the Texas Hill Country with the BuddyLove team and some other amazing influencers. It was a work trip, though it didn’t feel that way as we ate and drank our way around Fredericksburg. I grew up going to the charming little town often, as my grandparents lived right off Main St. (and North Milam) for years. I could ramble all day about what to do and where to eat, but I’ll try and condense it for you below!

SHOP OUR LOOKS:

There are so many photos I left out from this post, I’m having FOMO for them all. I’ll try to share more photos from the trip soon! All of our outfits are from BuddyLove which has been one of my favorite brands for years (but y’all already know that). The girls and I kept talking about how we love BuddyLove pieces because they mix and match with everything. The same dress goes great with cowboy boots, sandals, or sneakers. It was really fun on the trip to see how differently we all outfitted our BuddyLove pieces to match our own personal style.

As far as Fredericksburg recommendations go, I listed them all in the last photo but I’ll give some more details in case you’re planning a trip soon!

FOOD:
Hill and Vine TX- My favorite food in Fredericksburg. It’s all to die for. Order the “I’m a Suckle for You” cocktail, and don’t skip the fried pies for dessert. Atmosphere also has a great ambiance.
Sunday Supply TX- They offer picnics to go!
Vaudeville- Conveniently located right in the heart of town. Has a speakeasy feel, with a modern art gallery upstairs and wine cellar/restaurant below ground. Order the turkey club!
Emma & Ollie- Cinnamon Rolls as big as your face.
Woerner Warehouse- Such a cool, vibey spot! Get there early to beat the lunch crowd, and don’t skip the iced coffee.

PARTY BUS:
Brooke’s Bubble Bus- The best in town! I’ve been to Fredericksburg for several bachelorettes where we had party busses, but none compare to Brooke’s.

WINERIES:
Augusta Vin Winery- Really beautiful and spacious, don’t have to worry about crowds
Ab Astris Winery- A personal favorite, with the sweetest owners and delicious award-winning wine.
William Chris Vineyards- Another favorite and actually owned by a family friend. William Chris has grown so much since I’d last been but it’s as amazing as ever. Plan to eat a meal here as the food is out of this world!
Signor Vineyards- #1 for atmosphere in my opinion, as the outdoor seating is just beautiful and peaceful beyond description. Feels like you’re in a movie set.
Slate Theory Winery: The coolest place! Go down into the cave for a unique wine tasting experience you won’t forget.

SHOPPING:
BuddyLove- Duh! Their flagship store that is arguably the cutest storefront on the planet.
Rustlin’ Rob’s- Best place to buy a piece of the Hill Country in the form of food. Go in hungry, as you’ll be able to sample tons of dips and treats!
Dogologie- Cutest place to grab a souvenir for your fur friends.

NIGHTLIFE:
Hondos- Great food, laid-back vibes, and live music in this historical landmark of a restaurant/bar.
Velvet Lounge- Karaoke bar greatness. You won’t be disappointed! On the weekends or busy season, be sure and call ahead to reserve a table as it gets crowded with a line out the door some nights. Weekdays are ideal.

If you’re heading to Fredericksburg soon, have the best time! Time seems to slow down a little bit more in those parts, and it’s a welcomed thing. Thank you to BuddyLove for the amazing trip!
