Bear's costume

The cat (err, bunny) is out of the bag on our Halloween costumes! To my surprised delight, Bear is absolutely obsessed with his costume and thinks being a magician is the coolest thing ever. He's still trying to figure out how to make Mommy disappear...which I hope if he ever actually accomplishes, I end up at the mall. Or a quiet Starbucks.

I wasn't sure if he'd love or hate the costume since last year he wasn't a fan of being the big bad wolf, but he wore his magician costume every day last week after it came in and even begged to wear it to school. They're having "crazy hat day" on Wednesday so he gets to wear the top hat then (and hopefully won't get in trouble for hiding a stuffed bunny inside). Usually we let him pick a second costume that he wears for trick or treating, one he actually loves, but this year he said he wants to be the magician again. Winning! I, however, will not be dressing up like a bunny again to hop around the neighborhood. Maybe I can convince Zach to be a bunny? Yeah probably not. Zach isn't a fan of the red sequins on Bear's vest & bow tie- he thinks they make it look like a pimp costume. I guess that's an idea for next year? Kidding.

We haven't been BOOed by our neighbors year this year and I think we need to get it going ourselves (read all about that tradition here). Bear thought it was so awesome last year and has been talking about it- we've never actually started it in our neighborhood so maybe it's time we did. I've never been huge on Halloween, believe it or not, but every holiday is so much more fun with kids! I can't help but get in to all the festivities and fun.

Keeping this short & sweet because I wanna enjoy this chilly Sunday night with my boys! We've had such a fun family day; I love weekends in the fall. Hope you've had a great one, too!
